MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Anguilla Sailing Association (ASA) is to be the premiere organization for sailing and sailing activities in Anguilla and to include everyone who is interested in the fun, challenge, and competition of sailing and boat racing.  The Association wants to allow people to experience sailing through a hands-on approach and tie this experience in with the history and traditions of sailing in the Anguillian culture.

Through activities sponsored by the ASA, people of all ages will be able to experience the sport of sailing while gaining technical knowledge through interaction with experienced sailors, guest instructors and, more importantly, Anguillians with a great wealth of knowledge of the waters and wind conditions that surround the island and the Caribbean in general.

 Membership is open to both local and foreign yacht clubs, individuals, companies and corporations who wish to participate in the development of sailing in Anguilla.

Our primary objective is to raise funds through activities, such as the regatta and tax exempt donations through The Anguilla Community Foundation, in order to support the Anguilla Youth Sailing Club (AYSC) and sailing school based on the internationally successful Optimist sailing program

The ASA is recognized by the Government of Anguilla and the Caribbean Sailing Association as the organizing authority for the annual Anguilla Regatta.

LOCATION

The ASA and AYSC Clubhouse is located at the north end of Sandy Ground beach, next to Irie Life and Body and Soul.  This building serves as the headquarters for the Annual Anguilla Regatta and the Optimist Sailing School

 MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to any individual, club or business interested in sailing in Anguilla.  Members are notified of all upcoming events, reduced entry fees for the Annual Regatta, as well as invitations to special Regatta events.  The annual membership fee is US $25 or EC $67.  For questions or additional information, please send an email to The Anguilla Sailing Assoc.
